any other breed!
A collie is a herding dog and needs a great build to be able to do hard fast work. Agility shows and herding titles are the proving ground for a good build and we want to see more of our collies entered in agility to show off what we do for collies. That means if you look into showing your honeytree collie in agility or herding we will love bragging about him on our website. We breed for the proper collie standard. The whole collie package is difficult for anyone to obtain. Remember that a kennel is only as good as it's worst collie! Please please do not support substandard kennels. Please ask the CCA, clubs, and breeders that are active in collie organizations. Do not believe websites, claims of tests, claims of club membership. See the true activities for yourself. I tried hard to believe in humans that wanted to breed and I learned the hard way. Yes, they talk nice and innocent and caring. They say all the right words on their websites. But there are more breeders that do not help the collie breed than there are caring breeders. That is why the true collie of health, activity, and beauty is not known by the general population of dog owners. There are too many shelters and rescues with many collies from those breeders. Beware . |
