Captain
and
Thunder
Update: This photo was taken of Captain at 15 weeks. As you know, house training and crate training has been a breeze with him. (My sister has a new pup too and crate training has been a struggle with her pup so thanks for getting him started from the beginning!)
Thankfully, he has always slept through the night, which is a huge blessing because we like our sleep.
I think I mentioned that we’ve hired a trainer who’s working with us. She says Captain is one of the most intelligent dogs she’s ever worked with. She says if we wanted to go this route, he has the temperament to be a good service dog; he’s focused, persistent, and has a lot of drive.
Since he is so smart, we have to stay one step ahead of him.
One of the first things she taught him was the command “watch” and she says Captain has great eye contact. Even though he is very energetic, he is becoming easier to calm and redirect as the days go by.
We are looking forward to him being all the way immunized so we can start taking him to fun places and socialize him a little more. I’ll keep you posted as we continue to do puppyhood with him.
